The art of picturing aggregation

Early this assemblage, the Art Gallery of New South Princedom showcased a nonpublic photography group with a disagreement. Instead of purchasing splendidly arty photographs by big-name photographers, the accumulator Robert Dein had upset to the informal end of the spectrum.

Dein equanimous recovered snapshots dating between the 1860s and ’70s that showed workaday group doing informal things. More of the photographs betrayed a quirkiness that reserved Dein’s creativeness and set him to ponder on who the people were, and what happened to them.
